There I was sitting in an old 2006 Honda Odyssey driving up to my cottage on Lake Michigan. I had already been in the car for 4 hours and I was only halfway done with my journey. I didn’t know if I was going to survive. I was already missing my Lucy (my dog), and I had to live without for a week while the ferocious neighbors took care of her. Although, I was only at my lovely cottage for a week, I would miss my home and Lucy.
As we were driving up the long road, we came upon a wonderful looking building named Chipotle. I had heard from many of my acquaintances that the food here was wonderful. But, to be careful to not eat too much or you will be stuck there for eternity. I could smell the delicious burritos from the car. I leaped out and ran in to fill my wrap with delectable foods such as Steak, Chicken, and Corn. Me and my family sat down at the table for what felt like 2 minutes. The lake lured me in as I could hear the waves crashing against the shore. I went straight for my chambers and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I awoke to my grandma baking blueberry pancakes. It led me downstairs where a large platter of them was waiting for me. After I was finished eating, I went to sit on the couch and watch cartoons. Eventually, the sun was high in the sky and shining. Time for tubing! We were on the water for hours. My uncle was flipping my cousins around and we were having a great time! By the time 4:00 came around, we were all dog-tired. As the days went on, I wanted to leave less and less. It was so nice not having any responsibilities and or jobs to do. I could just relax. Every day I would wake up to my grandma making a mouthwatering breakfast, then I would have fun tubing, eat a great dinner, and have a fantastic night’s sleep. I never wanted to leave. But, I missed Lucy and needed to get back to her soon so me and my family left for a long journey
