On Halloween night from 5:00 pm to closing time, you have the chance to get a burrito, taco, or salad from Chipotle for only three dollars! All you have to do is wear a costume and then add an unnecessary addition to it. An example would be a fairy costume and then add a mustache to your face or a ghost in high heels. The message that they are trying to say, from the costumes, is that Chipotle's food is made with all natural foods that are not processed or added with preservatives, such as how McDonalds, Burger King, and others' food are added with preservatives so that they can last longer. McDonald's and Burger King also have processed foods so that they can make the products at a cheaper price.…

Intro/Background http://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2015-chipotle-oral-history/ Chipotle Mexican Grill was founded by Steve Ells in 1993. The concept of the restaurant was inspired by the foil wrapped mission-style burritos Steve ate while working in San Francisco, California. When he proposed the idea to his friends and family, they were not too supportive about it. His dad’s response was “So you have six years of pretty expensive schooling here, and it's going to be burritos and tacos? Are you serious?”.…

As a former athlete I am always looking for food on the go. I was never a big McDonalds, Burger or Wendy’s person, but two places that I have loved since my first bite are Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A. Both are places that I would eat at on a weekly basis, at minimum. This ended in October 2015. There were two separate outbreaks of the bacteria were investigated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service and public health officials in several states. In the first outbreak 55 people were infected by the foodborne illness in 11 states, of which 21 were hospitalized.…

Chipotle is my personal favorite out of every restaurant in Beavercreek. So there is a big argument on how Chipotle and Hothead are either the same or one is better than the other. I am here to debate or confirm that Chipotle is way better. The burrito with rice, steak chicken sour cream and cheese is the best thing you can get at Chipotle. If you get that same exact order at Hothead it would be worse because its popularity level isn’t as high as chipotle.…

Because it is a chain restaurant, people often equate Chipotle with cheap, mediocre fast-food chains. Although Chipotle provides quick service and reasonable prices, it is remarkably different from every fast-food restaurant. With real ingredients and fresh food every day, Chipotle supersedes the pre-packaged, insipid frozen foods served by many fast-food chains. Lastly, anyone who has visited multiple fast-food restaurants, including myself, can see that they are much less sanitary and inviting in comparison to a Chipotle. I know from experience that I feel much better about what I am eating and where I am eating when I am at a Chipotle as opposed to most fast-food…

What the chain is really trying to do is cement their status as the whole foods of fast food. With increasing human populations, essentially all of those mouths are going to get fed via industrial farming. Chipotle is promoting itself to bring revenue, in order to survive in our current capitalist society. Regardless of the reality it is trying to promote, it is economic interests that impel McDonaldization. Chipotle is a nationwide fast food company owned by wealthy individuals that have independently come to recognize that they stand to profit handsomely from incorporating McDonaldized processes.…

As many food service businesses should know, it is nearly impossible to avoid an outbreak of some sort forever. Unfortunately, Chipotle Mexican Grill is no exception. Since its founding, Chipotle’s claim to fame has been “food with integrity,” meaning you not only wanted to know where the food you were serving was coming from, you wanted to know how it was raised. This gesture sets such high expectations with yourself and with consumers. Although, high expectations are not necessarily a negative thing, when set exceedingly high and continually raised, the smallest unfortunate event, even an accident, can cause harm if handled incorrectly like the incident in October.…

On October 29th, 2016 I observed four different individuals at a restaurant known as Chipotle located off of Happy Valley from 7-8pm. Since it was a Saturday night, I thought there was going to be lots of people to observe, however, this was not the case. Thankfully, there were still enough people to observe I just thought there were going to be so many people that it was going to be difficult to focus on one individual. I proceeded to sit down, retrieve my pen and paper, and scan the room. When scanning the room, I asked myself who am I going to watch?…
