Chipotle faced some issues that posed a threat to the company. One issue was that some of the suppliers did not supply them with 100 percent farm raised food and animals. All you have to do is wear a costume and then add an unnecessary addition to it. An example would be a fairy costume and then add a mustache to your face or a ghost in high heels. As a former athlete I am always looking for food on the go. I was never a big McDonalds, Burger or Wendy’s person, but two places that I have loved since my first bite are Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A. Both are places that I would eat at on a weekly basis, at minimum. This ended in October 2015. Because it is a chain restaurant, people often equate Chipotle with cheap, mediocre fast-food chains. Although Chipotle provides quick service and reasonable prices, it is remarkably different from every fast-food restaurant. With real ingredients and fresh food every day, Chipotle supersedes the pre-packaged, insipid frozen foods served by many fast-food chains. Lastly, anyone who has visited multiple fast-food restaurants, including myself, can see that they are much less sanitary and inviting in comparison to a Chipotle. What the chain is really trying to do is cement their status as the whole foods of fast food. With increasing human populations, essentially all of those mouths are going to get fed via industrial farming. Chipotle is promoting itself to bring revenue, in order to survive in our current capitalist society. As many food service businesses should know, it is nearly impossible to avoid an outbreak of some sort forever. Unfortunately, Chipotle Mexican Grill is no exception. Since its founding, Chipotle’s claim to fame has been “food with integrity,” meaning you not only wanted to know where the food you were serving was coming from, you wanted to know how it was raised. This gesture sets such high expectations with yourself and with consumers.
