Their outstanding commitment shows their strong ethical perspective on unhealthy fast food chains all across the world. Chipotle is not only looking to make an outstanding profit but they are conscientious about what their business can mean for the world. For some people, it could a simple alternative to another fast food chain that would have otherwise been extremely unhealthy. Their company culture is working well for them because they create many incentives that motivate their staff to work more effectively, thus creating a more friendly environment because team members get along and work well together. The franchise offers soups, salads, sandwiches, and baked goods. Panera has a mission statement that states “A loaf of bread in every arm”. This statement means that they strongly believe in helping bridge the gap of food insecurity within communities in the U.S. The company expanded their consumer base to a much broader population that included those that struggled with obtaining healthful foods. Panera has non profit community cafés that operate on donations contributed from the company clientele and others. The funds collected by the nonprofit community program are then allocated to the maintenance of the store and for the free meals provided for the less fortunate. Panera franchises can be found in the United States and in Canada. This company is different from other cafés because they do not allow franchises to be sold in single units. The company will exclusively sell to an investor that will open up at least 15 stores within a 6 year timeframe. Additionally, Panera is not only invested in healthful ingredients, but they have a specific mission. This mission aims to provide those that cannot afford the cost of a meal with a plate of food that is at no cost to them. This small contribution makes a tremendous difference in families that struggle to feed their children for any number of reasons.
