Every minute, 62 children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for treatment, that is one child every second. Some sustaining a traumatic injury, others battling cancer, babies needing constant care for being born to early, or with a genetic disease . Regardless of why these children are here, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will always have their doors open.
In the last 33 years, Children’s Miracle Network has raised over 5 billion dollars that has distributed to 170 hospitals. In 2011, our CEO John Lauck decided to be ambitious and set a goal to raise $1 billion annually by 2022. Even though there is still much work to be done, we are determined to meet our goal. She is an Alabama native that was diagnosed at birth with spinal bifida. It is a rare condition that is caused when the vertebrae does not have a chance to properly develop around the spinal cord. This caused Delany to have complications that required emergency surgery at 2 days old and it would not be the last she would have. Five major surgeries followed, including having a shunt placement in her brain. Delaney is now 12 years old and her latest accomplishment was winning a wheelchair contest. All the donations that have been raised through Children’s Miracle Network Hospital has helped Delaney receive treatments and consultations with specialists in neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology and more.
Children's Miracle Network mission is to provide the best pediatric health service to all children so they can live a childhood where they have access to healthcare and be provided treatment despite the cost. We are doing this to provide funds for research, to educate and improve the lives of children.
