Children Should be Taught About Sex at Young Age Children need guidance, now more than ever. First and foremost, they should be educated about sex at much younger age than they were in the past, because it is a different world we live in, and children are exposed to sex at much younger age. This is mostly due to technology, and the media. Also, the environment new generations are raised in is way more sexually immoral than previous generations. More importantly, the earlier they learn the better equipped they will be to ward off sexual predators should they find themselves in that predicament, or at least know what signs to look out for. The earlier children learn about sex, the safer and more cautious they will be in their adolescence, and the later stages in their lives.

Furthermore, this needs to be addressed very early on. Ideally, as soon as the child is aware of his or her surroundings would be the perfect time to explain this delicate topic. Presumably, as uncomfortable as a parent might be with explaining to their young child what things to look out for with respect to a sexual predator it is still a necessity. At the same time, the parent needs to realize how invaluable this information can be to their child’s well-being. Granted, a parent does not need to disclose the nitty gritty of sexuality, just the areas that pertain to predatory behaviors and what to do in such an instance. Receiving the right type of education early on in child’s life can help them from being victims of sexual abuse. Teaching a child the tell-tell signs of inappropriate sexual misconduct that can be inflicted upon them is very crucial, and should be considered the same as teaching them the essentials like tying their shoes even though the concept might require a lot more effort and
