More and more, children are abandoning the good wholesome play that occurs in back yards and sidewalks. Play is becoming
inside play, but children need more outside play than they get. Parents can help their children be healthier by making them play
outside.
First, Children need sunshine. Playing outisde means children will get the Vitamin D they need. Our bodies need vitamin D.
You may know that vitamin D comes from milk, but it also comes from being in the sun. Without it, children are more susceptible

Second, Video games make our kids lazy, so peopple need to send their kids outside. People debate wether violent video
games make children more violent. Too much staring into a tv screen cant be a good habit. Besides, when you are playing
video games, they are sitting down all day, Everybody needs to play some video games, but playing too much can turn into
a couch potato.
Third, There are things kids can do outdoors that they can do indoors. Exploring nature, building forts, doing mischievous
things liek graffitit, getting to know the kids that live around them. Outdoor play makes kids be more creative. They have to
come up witht their own games. They can also get to know the children who live around them. They can ride bikes. They can
explore parts of their neighborhood they would never see if they were in front of the tv all day.
Parents who care about their childrens health need to consider sending their kids outside, a healthy kid is a kid who comes in
totally wiped out and filthy from a wonderful day of playing cowboys and indians or hiking through the woods with their
buddies. If we want our chidlren to not be overweight and to get the vitamins they need, we should encourage them to play
