One of the hardest facts to accept about the Holocaust is the systematic murder of 1.5 million children. Children who were newborns, toddlers, preschoolers and those who enjoyed days playing games and swinging on their neighborhood swingsets. Children who were not yet old enough to walk, were still wearing diapers, who’s only wish was to be held and loved by their moms and dads.

STEP ONE: Read the following article from the Holocaust Encyclopedia- …show more content…
-Choose a page that you don’t think anyone else will pick and select a child to read about. -If the first child you choose has a short biography and you want to read others, go right ahead. -At some point, choose ONE child for whom you want honor.

Help celebrate the life of this child that was taken too soon.
Read the biography on this site, enter his or her name into Google or another search engine and see what else you can find out about your child. Get lost in the info (for awhile) and learn, learn, learn! STEP THREE: Create a tribute to your chosen child’s life. This can be accomplished in countless ways. BE
CREATIVE: write a poem, find a song whose lyrics honor your child’s life, create a timeline of their life, write a memorial-style speech that you may have read at his or her funeral, find a piece of art that honors him or her in some way and explain why you picked it, create a piece of art...ANYTHING AT
