I came across an article called "Feeding Young Minds" and it was about teaching young kids that eating healthy, and eating right is good for you and for your body. The people at Pilot Light partnered up with chefs and teachers to create what’s called a Common Core-compatible lessons about food basic and the results from this were healthier kids. The kids were so eager to share their new knowledge on food with their families, friends, and most importantly their community. For the people working at Pilot Light their goal was too in-courage kids to make healthier choices on what they eat. By strategically integrating food, nutrition, and education within school standards, curriculum, and culture. They reached out to about 6 schools, 25 classrooms, and a total of 1,200 students. At the end of this the results show that 97% of the kids liked the lesson, 76% of kids will be more inclined to try new foods, and 71% of kids will ask parents for healthy food.
