I like that every character is an exaggeration of personality traits that I feel we all possess because I feel like that makes the show very relatable and therefore easy to watch. It does not require your full attention and I really enjoy this show when I need to decompress, it is filled with lighthearted humor and makes everyone feel good when they watch it.

4. Avatar: The Last Airbender
I really enjoy this show mostly because it brings back really good childhood memories of watching it with my younger brother. It is still very entertaining to watch today because I feel like this show explored a lot of adult topics. It combined the fantasy of being able to bend the elements with lessons about prejudice and stereotypes. I showed the impact that one group of determined, moral people can make and set an example for reality.

5. Sherlock
I watched this television show over winter break and was absolutely obsessed. I really enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch's and Martin Freeman's chemistry on the show and in real life after watching interviews with the two of them. I enjoyed watching Sherlock's character development as he went from a self declared sociopath to someone who genuinely cared about other people. The mysteries were fun to think about and were definitely kept me entertained throughout all the

But a lot of the show is watching screwed up individuals trying not to be so screwed up anymore. Like, the least damaged character of the show is Todd - he's basically a homeless guy who ended up at one of Bojack's parties and never left for five years; a person with no job, has never had success, and no ambitions of doing anything but playing video games at all. Characters we think are well-put together end up being more broken that Bojack; they're just better at hiding it. You're lead to believe that this show is a lot like Family Guy, but honestly, it's more similar to Daria.…

But, does this mean a series will ultimately be successful? In the case of Sherlock, it does and it has the logistics to prove it by analyzing the sequential growth of the series alone. Taking a look at just the data for the premieres of each season, 8.7 million viewers tuned in for in 2010, and subsequently 10.66 million in 2012, 12.72 in 2014 and 11.64 in 2016 (Quote BARB). On one hand, these statistics hold to the fact that as the series progresses more people are tuning in to watch or (DVRing) the season premieres. This may not be a direct link to the show’s popularity, but ultimately one could infer that the show is gaining a larger audience as it becomes more successful and popular.…
