What is childhood obesity and how does it affect the world? Childhood obesity is a medical condition that affects children and adolescents, who weighs more above their normal or required weight and height for their age. The obesity in children is a serious health problem that later becomes problems in adulthood like diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol and with many children becoming obese can and will lead to poor self-esteem and depression. The advantages of knowing about childhood obesity is that knowledge is power because by informing both the parent and the child and how it influences and changes society, it effects children’s emotions and academic performances, what are the causes and the complexity of obesity and the different types of nutrition and healthy recreation that are available.
