The research topic that I have chosen is childhood obesity. The significance of this topic is that childhood obesity can have significant impacts on the child’s current and future life. Children who suffer from being obese are more at risk for having chronic health conditions. Children who are obese can also suffer from mental and emotional issues as today’s society is more focused on the ideal body type, those who do not fit into this category are often bullied or teased.
The issue that I am going to address is that in today’s society the childhood obesity rates are increasing. With my research, I want to find different ways to help prevent childhood obesity. Questions that I want to answer is what are the root causes of childhood obesity
