Today, I am going to talk about childhood obesity and persuade Miss Michelle to fund my healthcare centre for obese and overweight children. Did you know that in 2013, 42 million infants and young children were overweight or obese? Obesity is a problem that nearly every nation in the world is facing, but there is much that we can do to fix it. Parents need to always monitor the amount of food intake by their children. Especially when a child is obese, it is essential to consume food in moderation regardless of the food being healthy or unhealthy. This is why we have caretakers at the centre. They devote their time to prepare delicious and healthy meals, with enough calorie requirement for these children. Parents do not have to worry about their children being fed the wrong food as the caretakers are certified nutritionists who have better knowledge in food. However, parent should encourage healthy eating habits to children. This way children would not feel attacked by strangers at the centre. Since physical activities are also important, we provide children with playgrounds, swimming pools and fields to get them active and moving. Of course, instructors will be present to monitor and provide the children with training sessions. During the children’s presence in the centre, any usage of gadgets such as hand phones, iPad, tabs or laptops is prohibited. This is because we are allowing minimum screen time as possible. More play time for these kids so that they will be exhausted from the activities and straight head to bed upon arriving home. No midnight snacking or watching a movie till late night. All these small changes will have a huge impacts on these children’s
