Imagine being a sweet person, therefore wanting to be friends with everyone. Imagine being attacked out of nowhere. Imagine all you wanted to do is be nice, consider one’s feeling, yet you did not want to hurt anyone. Imagine, imagine hard being a person who is always outspoken and just wants to voice their opinion. In “No Tears for Frankie,” writer Gina Greenlee speaks about a childhood bully who drastically affected her life and had to go through it all alone, with a rewarding feeling of attending his funeral. Greenlee claims she was bullied throughout her years in grade school, yet she was one to attend the funeral of her one and only bully, Frankie. On the negative side of that, Franklin and Greenlee went to school with each other which in some cases Frankie bullied and taunted other girls at the school. However, Frankie always had a permanent target, Gina Greenlee. His actions were so ruthless and repetitive it continued to become mesmerizing. Greenlee also states the abusiveness got so bad to the point where it became sexual abuse! In this case, she was violated physically and mentally through threat notes, yet teachers were very aware of it. Frankie wasn’t the only one in the action, but also his friends were. With the attention to Gina, Gina did get some help of staying over at a friend’s house, however she still kept the problem to herself. As a result, of that it came to a point where Gina reached her ultimate climax, for she was violated completely being put in a closet, and her truths became unnoticed. She didn’t have classmates, yet instead bystanders. As a result, of that situation and to her being the last straw she finally stood up for herself for she had no room in her heart for Frankie. However, being that day I wasn’t planning on going out so I decide to clean and enjoy my day off I had. I have told her I would not be able to accompany her because I was in the middle of cleaning and doing the things I needed to get done, yet hoping she would understand. Well I hoped wrong. Different from what she was expecting, she had attack me with this huge lecture! I didn’t even know where it had came from. I literally felt so attacked and was in lost with what I was going to reply back.
