Differences in suicide rates of northern and southern Europe and between neighboring countries in Scandinavia have remained stable during the last century (Durkheim 1897;Sainsbury 1986;Retterstol 1992).Studies of suicide rates in the first generation of immigrants have tend to prevail after settlement in Sweden (Ferrada-Noli 1997; Johansson,Sundquist,Johansson,et al.1997). Increasing number of children in Sweden have been raised by foreign-born parents in last decade, almost 15% of the total population during the 1990s is another important source of children with a foreign heritage that has been the steady growing of foreign-born adoptees adding more questions to multiculturalism.
