I gathered the information used in my writing, from a number of sources. I researched the internet for additional reading and used the relevant module materials associated to my enquiry.
While preparing for my enquiries, I considered the following four key points for making small-scaled enquiries, that Safford and Hancock (2015) discussed in approaches to enquiry: REF

• Organising and Considering Information
• Presenting and reflecting on your findings.
To prepare for my enquiry, I referred to the long term lesson plan. The topic for this term for key stage 1 is ‘The Great Fire of …show more content…
Noah asked what he should include, I explained thing like What time he got up? What time he had breakfast? etc. All the children completed this task with ease, I then asked them to think about events in their lives that they could remember. During this part of the activity I found the children to only put down the recent events and I again explained I wanted them to think back to all the events they could remember from birth.
Activity 2
After retelling the story of The Great fire of London, I asked the children if they could tell me the main events. All of the children took turns and told me key information. Next, I supplied the children with the resources and ask them to cut and stick the events in the correct sequence and stick them onto the blank time line. The children completed this task independently and required no input from me. After the children complete this task, I asked them to read their sequencing out to the group to double check that it made sense, correcting where necessary. See appendix 2.
