The National Center for Victims of Crime is currently involved with a project supporting the Child Victims Act. The nation wide movement seeks to raise awareness of this legislation to reform the limitation statutes; in which abusers will be held accountable for their crimes of child sexual abuse. It is the hope of the NCVC to completely abolish the civil time limits for victims of child sexual abuse. Minnesota has just passed the Child Victims Act in support of those victimized. This reform is exceedingly key for the healing of victims, as it may take substantial amount of time for victims to face and deal with the harm that was done to them.
