Children are being abused, feed drugs and alcohol and ordered to kill people, are being held in trial for their crimes.Child soldier are children who are held in rebel groups.The rebel groups come to their villages and take them away from their families or kill their families. They are being trained to use guns and kill people. Child soldier should not be prosecuted. First reason child soldiers should not be prosecuted is because some of have no choice but to join rebel group. Children are often forced into fighting. They are following order from adults that are leading them. It's not like they chose to do this.The recruiters make children use drugs and alcohol to make them commit acts they would not commit. Therefore child soldier should not be held responsible for their actions. Iran used boys as young as 12 to clear minefields during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s(child soldiers 1). These boys are forced to clear minefields, they could goten killed doing this and if they didn’t do it they would get killed. Although people might disagree with this reason of child soldiers dying, but child soldiers should not be killed or prosecuted. Over 100,000 child soldiers die every year. That’s a tremendous figure considering that there are only around 350,000 child soldiers in the world (child soldiers 1). That’s 28% of children soldiers in the world and 35% in the world. They all carry adult weapons, fight, and come face to face with death (Garris, James and Medcalf 1), . These children that are dead or prosecuted, will never have a chance to return back to their families when they are free the groups. This is why child soldiers should not be prosecuted because most of them are dead mad others are dying, if we prosecute them then more children will be dead because of the hard
