“Thousands of boys, some as young as 10, are purchased, kidnapped, or terrorized into joining the country's army.” (Gettleman) . Child soldiers are a terrible thing because the commanders are taking young children and brainwashing them until the children believe that they need to stay. Child soldiers are told to kill thousands of innocent people, even their own friends and family. If they do not follow the commander's orders then they are killed. No one should be allowed to take kids away and use them as their own puppets, telling them what to do every moment.
