However, some people don’t know that children are being forced to become child soldiers, and they are the ones that are victims of pain, war, death, and suffering. Due to the fact that these children are forced to be soldiers and victims of pain, war, death, and suffering, they deserve amnesty, or legal forgiveness. Child soldiers are called child soldiers for a reason, and that reason is that they are children, and they are soldiers. One article, titled “Armed & Underage”, says, “So did Iran, which used boys as young as 12 to clear minefields.” The text also says, “Thousands of boys, some as young as 10, are purchased, kidnapped, or terrorized into joining the country’s army.” Both of these pieces of the article show that, around the world, children around 10 years old are being introduced to war, pain and suffering. These children deserve amnesty because they are so young when they are recruited and they are most likely traumatized, or have suffered many times due to war, and they are victims of the recruiters cruel actions. Some people say that, even though these children are young, they are still soldiers, and due to the fact that they are soldiers and that they have killed people, they don’t deserve amnesty. However, these people are wrong because they (the child soldiers) have their innocence stolen from them, they are used and they are obedient. They are too young to understand that they are doing the wrong thing, and those who are older (about 14 years old or older) who do understand should be given amnesty because they had their innocence taken away from them when they were younger. Overall, child soldiers are victims of cruel actions and deserve amnesty because they are too young to be in war, and they are

Images last week from an ISIS video appearing to show a child executing a hostage were horrific. The very idea of the "cubs of the caliphate," as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria dubs them, is stomach-churning.”) This statement and photos show that the children in the video are no more than 14 years old thus they would not have had enough experience in the world to make the right decision. (captaindarwin ) While some did this do to lack of experience while others did this because they were brainwashed by drugs and then threatened to kill or be killed.…

According to debatewise.org, it states, “It may be that the child thought it would be safer to enlist or factors such as poverty and hunger influenced their decision rather than a desire to fight. Once children are recruited into the military it is also difficult for them to leave because they become dependent on their commanders for drugs, alcohol, money and food.” What this evidence suggests is, that the child soldiers don’t go there to fight and kill people. The child soldiers just want to go there for the food and money. This shows that child soldiers should be given amnesty because they are forced to join the armed services for the money and food.…

Child soldiers a children who go into war with their country and many are in Africa's most dangerous places. Most child soldiers don't know what to do because they're either too young or don’t know anything about war or guns. Here we will see where most child soldiers are at and were in the world they are or what is happening now or before they joined. I support That they should not go on trial because its not really their fault, because they might of being forced or did not have someone to live with and was brought into the child soldiers army. And Most of the Children were forced to join or they would get killed, also they might of grown up with someone who was in the army of child soldiers and wanted to keep going with child soldiers.…

I believe that child soldiers are victims forced to be perpetrators. I say this because they are taken into war against their will, but then they commit many horrendous acts of killing and slaughter, which fills the perpetrator definition of someone who commits a crime. Some child soldiers are taken by government off of camps and forced into war, and if they try to leave they are shot down. In this situation, the soldiers are forced into combat and should be granted amnesty, but I believe that overall, child soldiers should only be granted amnesty if the prosecutors are certain the decision to go to war for these young soldiers was not their own. On one hand, child soldiers are victims and deserve amnesty.…

Article 38: Governments must do everything they can to protect and care for children affected by war. Governments must not allow children under the age of 15 to take part in war or join the armed forces. I strongly believe that child soldiers under 18 should be given amnesty because of these three reasons: • Most of the children are forced into being soldiers • The child soldiers can’t leave once they are recruited • If they don’t follow orders they are killed and new kids are recruited against their will. A number of child soldiers today are difficult to distinguish, the UN estimates that some 300,000 children are involved in more than 30 conflicts worldwide today child soldiers should be given amnesty because most of these children…

When thinking of children, most see a young, innocent human, incapable of dark tendencies without being provoked. Others don’t see the mind, age, or body, but the murder or illegal act committed in another country as a child soldier. However, evidence from the I.C.C. (International Criminal Court), lives of these child soldiers, and the repercussions of not granting these children amnesty all show that child soldiers should be given a pardon for their convictions. Out of the I.C.C.’s 128 articles on crimes throughout the world, only a handful can be used to give evidence for child soldiers.…
