The facility was a project that Janet pleaded with Childhelp Founders to make possible after learning that the children had to sleep on the floor of DCS offices for lack of foster homes in Arizona. With little more than faith and trust in God to provide, the 6000 square foot facility was created and ready for children in less than three weeks! The facility has seen more than 3500 children since it opened June 1, 2015. Janet has recruited more than 200 volunteers to help care for the children at the facility, and her efforts in putting it together helped provide 24 twin beds, 5 cribs, 4 toddler beds, 2 playrooms and more! This beautifully decorated safe haven is focused on compassion and love for children in the midst of crisis in State custody.
Janet is now working on a Foster Care initiative at her church that is home to nearly 7,000 members. Janet is building a ministry with the help of a small group at the church that will provide a complete support system for Foster families at the church, while also opening the door to helping the broken families find strength and healing through Christ in order to reconcile children back into their homes once the parents are healed and able to care for the
