Children are placed on Child Protection Register once there is a concern for their safety or they have come to harm. The Child Protection Register allow a case worker to draw a plan of protection and safety for a child who might be in danger or are likely to be abused. A child whose name is on a child Protection Register are seen as vulnerable and needed to be monitor against harm in their homes or from anyone that might cause harm to them, for example, if a child have cuts and the case worker feels the child need to be monitored against further incident. A conference meeting is held to review the situation and make a decision on how to protect the child and one of the outcomes can be to place the child on register for monitoring and safety.
