Most of the kids by the first five minutes of this observational period finished and cleaned up their table. Seeing such a drastic that seems to come from about 4 to 6 is amazing, unlike the preschoolers and toddlers the middle childhood kids have begun to take on more responsibility for their actions and are actually able to contribute to the world around them. For example, one of the kids needed a napkin, and rather than just asking a caregiver to get it, they got up and retrieved the napkin. Understandably, this is nothing special and in all honesty I may be finding such meaningless task a bit too exciting, but simply put, the change that can be noticed each age group and with such a large change from the preschoolers observed before it is just amazing to think about how much…

I am attaching two photos of Skyler Yang who has endure scratches on both sides of his face; one scratch is right below his right eye and the other is nearby his nose on the left side of his face. He received these scratches after he had spent the day with his mother. Specifically with this email, I want to address my concerns regarding my children's safety. Although these injuries may seem minor, I am concern that it could have resulted in more seriousness if the scratch would have made contact with his eye that could have led to infections or even lead to sight issues. As from what Skyler told me, he was scratched by Xylina's pet dog when he was walking the dog on a leash; apparently, the dog jumped up and scratched him.…

The infant I observed was about eight months of age and was placed in a classroom that usually has a relatively small number of infants for better one on one attention. As I completed my observation, I observed all five developmental domains which include physical, emotional and social, cognitive, adaptive, and language and communication.…

Toddlers look like they are very hard to handle or can be very easy to corporate, but it depends on the child itself. Though they are very adorable to take care I figured to choose my setting at a church called Calvary Bible Church, which they take care of all ages from infants to teenagers. On February 25, 2018 I choose to observe toddlers/walkers from 10:45 to 12:15. The number of toddlers were about four and there were three helpers and one teacher who oversees the classroom. The reason I choose this setting is because I wanted to see a different aspect of how a church setting is set up, than a childcare faculty.…
