I observed human behavior on my mom. Everyone was home which includes my grandma, my dad, my younger sister, my younger brother and me. It was 8:37 pm, she came home, as she entered the door she said “Assalomu alaykum” to my dad and my grandma as my sister took groceries that she brought from her hand . Then my younger sister and I said “Assalomu alaykum” to her. My younger brother came to the door while she is still with her bag and boots on and asked her for lollipop. Then my mom replied, “oh I forgot, i brought kinder surprise, you want it?”, my brother replied, “No, I want lollipop”. Then she looked us and asked, “Does anyone has lollipop?”. Then she saw mail letters and she checked them. She took her boots off and her jacket and gave it

On 06/01/2018 at approximately 2343 hours, I, Deputy A. Martinez Vazquez responded to 3050 Healing Place, Oviedo, Seminole County, FL., in reference to a juvenile battering a staff member of the facility. When I arrived, I observed a juvenile by the name of Diallo Xavier Fitzgerald (B/M DOB: 01/29/2003) sitting on a chair in the dining room area surrounded by other facility staff members. Diallo had noticeable scratches on his face, his forehead and nose appeared to be swollen. I first spoke with the staff member who Diallo allegedly assaulted by the name of Antonio Anton Young (B/M DOB: 10/02/1982). Antonio is a staff member of Boys Town and is entrusted as a caregiver for the facility at the time of the incident.…

They are 48 months-60 months. I observed a 48 month old, male. I will refer to the student I observed as "P." I observed from 10:00-11:30 both sessions. The classroom was reasonably big, but the floor was opened with toys and an upstairs area where the students can go and hang up there.…

Before I began observing the child I wanted to choose a few categories of theories I would look out for. I chose Howard Gardner and his multiple intelligence theories, or Laurence Kohlberg and moral development theory to look for. The child I was observing had just turned two so with moral development theory I knew I could really only look to see if he had reached level one: preconventional morality. As I was observing the child, he was playing outside with his toys. I noticed he wouldn’t sit and play with his cars, he would get up and move one car to the other side of the grass and come back and play from different angles.…

One of the best things caretakers can do is to figure out and be aware of their child’s or little friend’s position in terms of development as it will make it much easier to choose appropriate toys, rules and ways of discipline. Comparing a child to a ‘’textbook child’’ or what a child his age is typically expected to be able to do regarding social, emotional, cognitive, language, fine and gross motor skills can be an effective way to place the child in an appropriate level of development for his specific age. Thus, to compare my 3 year old little friend, I have written down observation notes that include almost every activity and skill I have watched him master, achieve often, begin to show, and refuse to try. First of all, socially, my little…

The parent involvement surveys consisted on 10 questions related to parent involvement including meetings, communications with classroom teachers, involvement in parent groups, volunteering, instructional and school policy, and being informed about their child’s education progress. The survey results were somewhat surprising as the parent involvement levels in the district were substantially lower in volunteering, involvement, visibility, and engagement of educational activities outside the home than was first predicted. Survey results regarding visibility indicated that 53% of parents in grades 6th-12th either never met with their child’s teacher or did so less than twice per year. Survey results of parents visiting their child’s school were…

I currently work as a research assistant in the Maryland Child and Family Development Laboratory under Dr. Jude Cassidy. Although the research laboratory has multiple projects, I primarily work on the Attachment and Behavior in Preschool Children study. The project I assist with focuses on kindness of 4- year-old children in hopes of understanding what might contribute to children's positive social behavior and school readiness. The study involves inviting mothers and their 4-year-old children for two short visits to our laboratory for a play date. The child plays games with one the graduate students.…

During this activity that involves the child’s use of number, quantity or counting. The child is playing with toys that are called “shopkins” I believe which she says that she has a lot of them not only at home but at her nana’s house. And when she was playing with them she was counting how many she had in total and then separated them to see how much she can play with and what her friend could play with. They are kind of small toys but they know not to put them in their mouths which is a good thing because children tend to do that around a young age. But with doing so it shows that she how to use her numbers and the amount that she and the other child can have each to share with.…

I asked if instead of making our trip to the park extremely educational I planed the trip to the park to be a fun day were the children were able to play freely with out needing to over think the activities. When planning the activities I need to make sure I grabbed all the equipment I needed (10 hula-hoops, 2 bean bags, 2 walking ropes) I decided to have the children help me place two sets four hula-hoops in two spread out lines the last hula-hoop had a bean bags each student had to jump into a hula-hoop and wait till their classmate jumped on to the next hula-hoop to pass the bean bag forward each student need to so something creative in each hula-hoop in order to have the bean bag passes to them on team one, Jess hoped on one foot, Carlos clapped his hand, Vicky did jumping jacks and Monica sang a short song.…
