I was the man behind the curtain, making the experience as smooth as possible, keeping the clock ticking. Kids, enjoy the internet, so they talk through it, hearing each other from miles away. They play games with it, to pass the time, social games. So they wanted a place where the user could roam free, where they could work with others to both create and destroy. Forming friendships and breaking them. This is the world of little gamers. And we all wanted something of our own. A "Prize" perhaps. We both had our own separate boxes, communicating …show more content…
It was stunning. Every person who showed their face had suggestions, and Brandon and I could talk these ideas over with them, record info, and tune these ideas(and perhaps, put these ideas in place). In the following years Brandon and I had different views on what should happen with this, and that caused us to separate back into two different groups, yet this time we shared a loving and devoted community. As time went on, school became a burden and neither of us had time to handle our tasks, so we both left our community, and closed the doors on them. First me, and after a month or so, Brandon. After we completed our goal, and left to do other things, we realized the extent of our accomplishment, and what it had taught us, about ourselves, each other, and how a community evolves, changes, and sides with people. We learned that age is a boundary, set in place by society, yet it was one which could be bypassed with devotion to your goal. It is September 11th,2001. It is a cool and breezy morning as Martin took a drive through New York City to take his son, Will, to work. The air smelled polluted but Martin didn’t mind. A Hole in the World Rhetorical Analysis The earth shakes as a loud crash roars across the city. The people look toward the sky as a cloud of smoke and fire engulfs the building above. About twenty minutes later, another disorientating crash happens, but this time to the tower next to the first. White smoke, debris, and human bodies start falling from the sky, while people scramble for shelter.…

Would the position be any different if the vacation occured 7 years after the inital gift is made to the co-habiting child on the basis that it would then have become a failed…

Roman greatly enjoyed reading. According to My Virtual Child at age 6, “Roman started to read some easy rhyming books toward the end of kindergarten. In first grade, he really seems to be taking off, and is reading first and even second grade books.” This is where Roman first began to excel in reading. His love for the topic made him advanced and this was consistent throughout the entire Virtual Child experience.…

Manifestaciones (Manifestations) Manifestaciones or short for Mani is a leadership retreat hosted by the Center for Latino Arts and Culture (CLAC) located on College Avenue. Although it is expected that this retreat is only for Latinos since it is hosted by the CLAC, anyone from any race can go because although the retreat is Latino-oriented it is not Latino exclusive. There is an application that every potential participant must fill out and the participants are chosen based on their responses on the application. Because of limited space, not everyone is allowed to go but I was fortunate enough to be chosen as one of the participants.…

There were candles in the kitchen drawer, bought a week ago for just this thing. They were black, the outsides of them slippery and waxy, and they all had a faint aroma that reminded Angela of black licorice. She placed them around the kitchen and around the Ouija Board, lighting them each in turn from a long kitchen match. A chill breeze wafted around the kitchen, guttering the flames, but not blowing them out.…

Every kid wants to experiment when they are younger. Some of us just seem to make a massive mess when we do it. Of course our parents always tell us that we should be careful not to stain our carpets with anything, and that is where I made my mistake. I was sitting in my room bored with nothing to do. May I remind you that this is not a good thing for a seven year old to be doing.…

I miss those days of my childhood where I could have been doing more marginal activities to get to know myself on a deeper level. I believe in bunk beds. For most of my life, I’ve slept in a bunk bed - the joy of being the middle girl in the family. When I was younger, I shared with my older sister. There would be nights that I would wake up in a cold sweat, reliving the terror from whatever demon owned my dreams. “Ashley”, I would call, the only words I could muster, and she would be there.…

The purpose of this critical incident and development paper is to discuss the consequence of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001 on my family and personal development. I will begin with a personal anecdote on the events of the day and describe how it changed my perception of the world. I will then share the applicable research I collected and how I believe it relates to my experiences. On the morning of September 11th, 2001 I woke up an unassuming nine-year-old. I had rarely left the West Chester area and knew little about the outside world.…

This current semester I am enrolled in Professor Zack’s Media Production I class. Our first project of the semester was a silent film that would focus on someone or something involving a lock and a key while expressing an emotion. This project wasn’t a solo project, but instead involved working with one other person. The lock and key could be metaphoric or literal and from that concept we had to tell a story in twelve to fifteen shots. Our idea was to convey a young musician finding the right “key” on his guitar and “unlock” the excitement (which was our assigned emotion) inside of him.…
