While these children are not being giving their human rights, child labor is an issue that many turn a blind eye to. This investigation resulted in a thirty- nine- page report by HRW that condemned the Philippine government for failing to protect children who are forced by poverty to work in small-scale gold mines and refocused international attention to the exploitation of child labor in the Philippines. (2016). they also took statistics and the number of children that are in the child labor is very outrageous. People need to open their eyes because that’s a lot of children working in these poor conditions for inadequate pay. Research by the PSA supports that ‘’In 2011, the Philippine statistics Authority (PSA) reported that there were 2.1 million children in the Philippines engaged in child labor and that two million- approximately ninety-five percent of those children were involved in hazardous labor. Approximately sixty percent of these child laborers work in agriculture, namely, in the production of sugarcane, bananas, coconuts, corn, hogs, palm oil, rice, rubber and tobacco.” (2015). And when it comes to politics not all politician will want to pass laws to band child labor or even help
