I tried to take notice to when he was losing interest. In the future, I would like to know other techniques to keep children at this age engaged in conversation for therapy sessions or interviews similar to this one. I feel that I asked questions that flowed together well; when Johnny talked about the difference between his favorite thing to do at home and his favorite thing to do at school, I used this as an opportunity to talk about his daily schedule. Also when Johnny talked about who lived at home, I used that as an opportunity to ask him what his parents do while he is at school. The other staff were not involved in my interview process which I think is beneficial. I think this helped the children feel more comfortable. Mrs. Mason played with some of the children and cleaned up around the room. It helped the children feel as if everything was normal. I wish I could have gone back and asked him more questions about his daily schedule. If I had more time, I would have gone back and tried asking Johnny again or in a better way. I could have also asked if he could tell me what he did Christmas or another holiday to see how well he could provide information in chronological
