1. Get the parents to interact with their child. There usually are too many parents who are busy being on their cell phone and not paying attention to what their child is doing. Although I did not see any parents on their cell phones, I did see that some of the children were being ignored. The parents need to realize the important role that they play in interacting with their child. There are many students who are on IEPs for speech. I feel that if the parents took the time to talk with their child that this would not be such a great number. In the fourth scenario with the child on the IPad there was no interaction going on no matter what aisle they were in.
