Like mentioned earlier, a child’s education may be affected if they are not able to buy the necessary supplies and books for school. Children may also have a hard time at school if they are being made fun of by other children. For example, a homeless child may not be able to take a bath everyday resulting in poor hygiene. This could be a target for other children to make fun of which can result in a child not doing well in school. Being bullied in school could make a homeless child act out and development behavior problems. These behavior problems can also affect a child from doing well in school if they are suspended or if they are constantly sent to the principal’s office. Not being able to get the full educational experience can make a child vulnerable to developmental delays. Inconsistent transportation may not allow the child to attend tutoring or extra credit school activities. A child’s confidence can be a main factor in the problems they experience in school along with homelessness. If children don’t have access to a proper education as young children they could potentially have speech problems. If they aren’t able to attend school regularly, this could be a possibility. This doesn’t not mean that every child that is homeless will have a speech
