Some of the things I would like to show you are that I have a safe, nurturing environment for the children while they are in my care. This allows the parents to have peace of mind while they are at work. I believe in what I do as a teacher and support the families any way I can when they are in need.
When early care funding gets cut it effects not only the big centers but it affects me as well. Not all families want their children in a large facility. There is a lot to be said for a small facility like mine. The children are not a number they are an individual and they all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I take my time each day to do something for each of the children in my care on a daily basis. This could be anything of their choice from tying their shoe, doing a puzzle or playing house.
