Knocknacarra Child and Family Service is a department within the National Child and Family Agency.
The organisational structure below sets out the governance and management arrangements within Tusla. Knocknacarra Child and Family Services reports to Susan Ford the family support service manager, who in turn reports to Angela Toolis the area manager Galway/Roscommon. John Smith the regional director for the west oversees Angela Toolis, he then reports directly to Gordan Jeyes the National Director who is ultimately responsible to James Reilly, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.
There are ten Family Service’s in the Galway/Roscommon geographical area providing support to child and their families. The Knocknacarra Family Service work force consists of one manager Eileen O’Toole and four Project Workers, one of which is part time. The bible of the organisation is the SOP’s Manual. Any changes to these policies that effect their work are filtered down through the management system and Eileen O’Toole the project leader roles them out in the service. Monthly management meeting are held in relation to the development of the service. Reports and minutes of the meetings are sent to Susan Ford the Family Support service manager who takes any issues that she cannot resolve to Angela Toolis.
