Landon Markwell Pauline Beatte Advanced English 11 16 April 2024 Research Analysis: Child Abuse Robin Roe, the author of A List of Cages, wrote a book that jumped into the troubled life of a group of teenagers struggling with social issues. Julian, one of the main characters, is troubled with child abuse throughout the book. The book describes his journey towards freeing himself. Roe uses the character Julian, to help readers understand the form and signs of abuse, explore its impact on Julian, and find pathways to healing and support. First off, child abuse is when children are mistreated, malnourished, neglected, and abused in a mental, physical, or mental way.
