I,Deputy Owens was dispatched to 24005 HWY 16 on 12-30-15 at approximately 1805 hours in reference to a possible child abuse. Upon arrival I spoke with Darren Richison who advised Blue Richison (niece) is being abused by his sister Debbie Richison. Darren advised me that Debbie Richison had adopted Blue approximately 5 years ago and has observed Debbie to be verbally abusive calling her stupid and ignorant. Darren states that on several occasions Blue could not go with the rest of the family due to her being "Too Stupid". Blue is also not allowed to attend family functions. . Darren advised that his daughter had called him stating Blue had showed up to his house and advised she did not want to leave because she had been locked in her room. Blue stated that the door was tied shut from the outside and was able to get out of her room to use the bathroom. Blue also told Darren that she has had to pee in the plants, and now the plants have died. Blue filled out a written …show more content…
Blue states that every night when she goes to bed the door is locked. Blue advised they only let her out of the room to use the bathroom and that has been up to 17 hours. Blue also advised she has to sleep on the floor because Debbie will not let her have a mattress.

Blue states that when Debbie is mad at her, she (Debbie) puts alot of Cayenne pepper and crushed red peppers on it making it unbearable to eat. Blue states that she only gets to once a day, but no until her chores are done. Blue also states that she is not allowed to sit on the furniture.

I notified DHS of the situation and spoke with Natasha. Natasha came to the scene and spoke with the family and advised that a protection plan was put in place after speaking with Debbie for Blue to stay with Darren. Blue was left with Darren and DHS workers will be returning to Darren's residence on
