During the colloquium class, it was very fervent and sad because we talked about child abuse or neglect and we as teachers, need to be alert for any sign of child abuse or neglect in our students. As, my facilitator taught us to take into consideration that the first-person reporting is the teacher who the teacher has a responsibility in the classroom to report whatever we see on the student’s body, and check if there are any changes in the student behavior. In this colloquium, Charlie talked about a few students in his classroom, and one of them always used to come late to the class even though, he was living close from the school.
