EREPORT # 18552 stated the following: The abuse occurred in Desoto County.
The incident happened in the Summer of 2014. On 12/15/15, Kyle shared with me (Mother, Brenda Berry) that over the summer of 2014, Uncle Johnny touched him in ways that made him feel uncomfortable. He said it happened about 8 times over the summer 2014. He said he rubbed his arm and bottom while staring at him. Kyle also said on 2 occasions Uncle Johnny rubbed Kyle's penis and groin area. Kyle shared this with me 12/15/15 in the evening. Kyle told me on 12/15/15. He was crying very hard, afraid of us not believing him, and afraid of what would happen to him. We interact with Kyle no different than before, in that he is still expected to do chores, school work, treat us and his sister with respect. The difference lately is that we have been more available than our typical already-involved parenting, as we have noticed more emotional moments for Kyle, a hesitation to sleep away from the home with a friend or his Godfather Uncle Mikey, and other misc. changes in his moods. Her behavior is Crying Excessively , Sad and Withdrawn. This is observed by both parents on and off since Kyle shared this on 12/15/15. It has also been observed by and spoken about by Carin Flenner and Mike Ciesliga over the holidays. While Kyle has impulsive behaviors due to his ADHD, he typically does not cry excessively and is not regularly sad or withdrawn. We have made ourselves available to listen to Kyle as much as he needs. We talk to him as much as he needs. We have scheduled therapy sessions with his therapist, and we will seek any other recommended treatment as advised by the therapist and investigators.
