Group1: Alicia a 24-year-old mother of a lovely girl and her partner Ivan have been together for 5 years. The young couple has been involved in heated arguments because Ivan wants to spend more time with his “boys”. Alicia feels that she is left at home taking care of their daughter way too often. *Alicia has a history childhood neglect by her parents. The couple has decided to come to therapy because they cannot seem to reach a common ground at home. Group2: 53-year-old Joe and 30-year-old Traci have been together for 8 years. The couple seems to not be in an agreement when it comes to parenting their 3 children. Joe states that Traci does not make time to spend together as a couple. They moved in together 6 months ago and have been struggling over home chores. They both work full time, Sarah as a marketing consultant, and Anastacia as a manager at a paper company. Anastacia finds herself picking up after Sarah on a daily basis. Anastacia mentioned that she “does not want to feel like Sarah’s mom”. Sarah feels that Anastacia just wants things done her way and refers to Anastacia as a “neat freak”. *Sarah has a history of neglect by her parents. The couple has decided to come to therapy because they cannot seem to reach a common ground at home. Group4: 26-year-old Blake has been in a relationship with 24-year-old Stephany for 2 years. Stephany describes that while Blake at first presented as a very passionate person, this passion has evolved into control. Blake often questions Stephany about where she has been and who she has been with when she is out with friend. Blake states that he just cares about Stephany’s wellbeing and at times he worries about her. Blake has a history of growing up in a home with domestic violence.
