In the year of 2015, there were a total number of 702,000 children who were victims of abuse and neglect. 1,580 of those children died from the brutal and abuse and neglect they experienced in their short lives. Seventy percent of these poor and innocent children who had passed away were only three years old. Their last sight held images of violence that controlled their gente lives. The numbers continue to increase as time stretches on, and all that is left are the silent screams of children who beg for a voice to speak for them and to save them. In order to stop this and to be the voice for these thousands of children, it is crucial for change. It is crucial for the world to know of the true horrors that exists behind closed bedroom doors for these children. It is crucial for these children to know that they are not alone. If not, this horrid cycle will continue to thrive off of hatred and we as human beings cannot allow this to happen to the innocent children in the world. Child abuse and neglect is fatal. It affects the child’s normal growth and development, with eighty percent of twenty-one year olds who have been abused as a child meet in the criteria for at least one psychological disorder. Furthermore, children who are abuse victims can grow up and repeat this horrific acts on their children. Thirty percent of abused children abused their own children as they got older. Lastly, those who are abused are nine times more likely to end up in prison. This abuse and…
