Chickenpox
Chickenpox (varicella) is an acute transmittable disease caused by varicella zoster virus. [4] However, it is often times considered to be a relative mild childhood disease. Chickenpox is easily spread, and can be spread before symptoms are shown. It can be acquired when a person with the virus, sneezes or coughs. It enters the respiratory system, and the infection concentrates in the skin cells for about two weeks. [4] It can also be contracted by touching the virus particles that come from chickenpox blisters or from people with shingles.
