Chick-Fil-A: Is Cathy Wrong or Not? The Chick-Fil-A incident was one of the most interesting ethical dilemmas to happen to one of the larger companies in the nation. According to Business Ethics Cases, it was called the second largest quick-service chain in the country. It was astonishing to hear about the dilemma because most of the large companies stray away from religious or conflicting problems such as, same-sex marriage. It was a courageous act from Dan Cathy to say his opinion and speak loud about the company and the beliefs that it is based upon. However at the same time, it was an idiotic move; his company had to go through firestorms of media coverage that covered the whole controversial topic about his Christian beliefs. The pressure that was on the company led to not only to stop following the beliefs the company was founded on but also, to stop financially support groups that support the bible and christian beliefs.

This caused prejudice in the whole company which was an irrational action for the company to support such causes. Cathy’s irrational actions caused the whole company to go in a downhill in a financial standard and a public relations point of view. The whole problem was ignited by Cathy’s selfish comments and caused all those problems.
The discrimination done with the whole problems against mothers and gay people was a wrong in the whole place. Even if Cathy did not believe that gay people were supposed to get married and that mothers should just be at home, he should have kept it to himself and not cause the whole company problems that caused many Chick-Fil-A branches and franchises to close down due to the fact that many gay right activists started protesting and boycotting the whole
