Chevy Trax Research Paper

Getting into a car accident is a traumatic experience by itself and an even more difficult situation when the car is brand new and totaled. A few days ago, my mom and I went car shopping for a new car after it was totaled a few weeks ago. My mom knew she wanted another SUV and wanted it to be a Chevrolet as she felt most comfortable with this brand. We checked out a 2015 Chevy Trax and a 2017 Chevy Equinox. Then, we had to compare and contrast them by the size, features, and price. But in the end, we had to make a choice.

Also, because the SUV was so small I felt like it wasn’t safe, especially if either one of us got into an accident. I could see the wheels flying off. The Chevy Trax wasn’t very family friendly and it didn’t have enough trunk space either.
After seeing the Chevy Trax, we knew what we wanted as far as size goes. My mom asked the car salesman if they had a SUV that was bigger in size. The car salesman showed us the Chevy

However, the 2017 Chevy Equinox has Wi-Fi, backseats that recline, front and rear head airbags, and rear height adjustable headrests. The exterior and interior was black. The Chevy Equinox was also a four cylinder but was only able to get 22/32 mpg. This SUV felt so safe compared to the Chevy Trax, maybe because it was much bigger and knowing that it has rear head airbags was comforting to us. There isn’t a lot of different features, but the ones that are made a big

As said best by a car salesman in “Swollen Expectations,” “For a lot of people, an SUV is a status symbol... So they’re willing to pay the thirty-to forty-odd thousand dollars to drive one of these vehicles.” My mom disagrees with this statement as she says that for our family, a SUV provides more space transporting both ourselves and items for holidays. As long as our family can depend on it, my mom doesn’t care about the status symbol of a vehicle. However, that doesn’t stop car manufactures from developing stronger and larger SUVs to compete with their competition.…
