The first time was in 1996 while Chip was the President of Hot Rods by Boyd (Completed Builds). This project produced a fully rendered yellow Boydster II. (Figure 2 0032) This edition was owned by Chuck Svatos who aspired for Foose to put his touch on the vehicle once he acquired it (Completed Builds). Chip’s remodel of the car included most focus being placed on the shade of black to get it just right as in the original design for the Boydster II the color desired was black (Completed Builds). (Figure 1 0032) The original interior was exchanged for a distressed leather look (Figure 3 0032), along with new rims to bring closer to the original design for the Boydster II. Chip designed a removeable top for the 0032 which was a variation from the Boydster II designs (Completed Builds). Once completed, the 0032 was named America’s Most Beautiful Roadster in the year 2000 following the tradition set by the Boydster I and II (Recgnition). After owning the 0032 for a period of time, Chuck Svatos traded the car back to Chip in return for a customized 1932 Ford three-window which later became known as the Lil’ Foose Coupe (Completed Builds).
