Give examples of how the practice of ministry has affected your experience and understanding of A) God At the core of my understanding of God is a God of love in covenantal relationship with God’s children. Romans 8:38-39 says it well; “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The practice of ministry has only proven to strengthen that belief. I was called early Saturday morning to sit with a family who had just learned of the death of their daughter/granddaughter in a vehicle accident.…

These pictures depicts exactly how I felt during and after Linda Lowery-Chapman's prayer this morning, before our morning run. This woman is definitely a TRUE PRAYER WARRIOR for God. I felt not only the atomsphere shifted at sound of her voice piecing the heavens, but the ground rumbled in response to her God-given authority. In her prayer, God gave her revelation into a personal family situation I know she didn't know. She could only know if God revealed it to her, and yet, she prayed about my family circumstances on my behalf.…

African-American women, then and now, have buried their talents, gifts, and ideas under the bias judgments and opinions of those who racially profile them. As narrated by Patricia Collins, “Reclaiming Black women’s ideas involves discovering, reinterpreting, and, in many cases, analyzing for the first time the works of individual U.S. Black women thinkers who were so extraordinary that they did manage to have their ideas preserved.” Thus, we can find our identity, uniqueness, hidden in the extraordinary works of these women; in fact, Maria Stewart was one of those women. A domestic servant who became a journalist, lecturer, educator, evangelist, and a women's rights activist. The first African-American woman to make public speeches for and…

Aaron Cole November 20, 2017 Professor Brozgal Paper 2 Murder in Memoriam: Discovery of Truth Taking influence on real historical events, Didier Daeninckx’s prize winning second novel—Murder in Memoriam—crafts the widely known historic reality of the Holocaust with the overlooked tragedy known as the massacre of Algerians on the 17th of October in 1961. The two events are expertly crafted to create a world of universal truth at last acknowledged.
