Cheryl’s Definition of the Problem:
Cheryl has discussed her feelings of having a ‘loss of control’ over the situation and her relationship with Jasmine. Cheryl describes Jasmine as “out of control” and “difficult” and discussed her change in behaviours with acts such as: consuming alcohol, sneaking out, and being involved with the police. Cheryl expressed frustration with Jasmine’s non-compliance to her rules, and admitted to hitting her once because she was ‘angry’. Cheryl is aware of Jasmine’s comments of her saying ‘life is not worth living’, and ‘I wish I have never been born’, although Cheryl stated she is “doing it for attention”. Cheryl is cooperative to the idea of family therapy for the whole family and specialist help for Jasmine
