All cultures have a different way of telling how the world and everything in it started. There are so many different ways that people tell the story, I am telling the story of two different yet similar stories. The first story is how Cherokee people tell the story and the other is how Greek people tell the story of the world.
The Cherokee and the Greek have very similar beginenings they both had darkness and animals.
Cherokee people say that in the beginning it was water, darkness, and animals. In the Greek story there was a empty darkness and a bird named Nyx. “The earth began as nothing but water and darkness, and all the animals were in Galunlati” (Cherokee) “In the beginning the was an empty darkness.
