First of all, the Cherokees received many benefits from America. They made sure the tribe were not harmed by adding security guards near the tribe. They tried to focus on making sure there was no bloodshed. The U.S also didn’t rush the tribe, they understood how hard it was for the tribe so they gave them time. Many of the Cherokee people didn’t want to move but the U.S gave the people a choice to stay, as long as they abide by the rules. Remember they still received the land and five million dollars.
Finally, the Cherokee tribe has done horrific things to America in the past. The tribe murdered innocent men, women and children. They would torture people in some of the most excruciating ways. For example they would scalp people alive or burn people alive, by tying them to a standing wooden plank and surround it with fire. It would be safer for everyone if more of the Cherokees moved .
