As a company that goes back in forth as the largest company in the world, they have a bit more components to them than even large companies like Apache. The energy industry is unbelievably huge, and Schlumberger has a hand in just about every piece of the pie. Getting a minor in mathematics or geology as a petroleum engineer is a good thing, but you will not stick out of the herd too much by doing it.
