What Is Chelsie's Relationship?

The person who I interviewed goes by the name of Chelsie. Chelsie is a 22-year-old “pan sexual” female. She has an older sister who is 25 years old, and a younger brother who is 15 years old. Both her parents are of Jamaican descents and they migrated to the United States in search of a better life. Unfortunately, Chelsie currently does not have a relationship with her father, and her mother is living in a separate home. Chelsie’s father abandoned her at the age of 7, after both her parents had a fight and decided to go their separate ways. Shortly after, her father remarried and never repaired their broken relationship. Chelsie is currently living with her grandmother who is 53 years of age, and her cousin who is 13 years old. She proceeded to look for the definition and realized that it was prejudice attitude towards homosexuals by heterosexuals. After gaining a better understanding of the term heterosexism, Chelsie explained that it was only a couple of weeks ago that she had experienced heterosexism. Chelsie stated that a male coworker described her as selfish person simply because he thought that she was only attracted to women. She therefore had to clarify to her coworker that she is attracted to both genders, and only then did he thought that Chelsie wasn’t a selfish person. According to Chelsie, this incident didn’t make her feel less than, but it did cause her to feel annoyed and disgusted. In addition, she spoke about how it made her realize that there are people in the world who are extremely ignorant when it comes to the LGBT community. She further explained that people still have antiquated notions about being anything other than straight and that it needs to be abandoned.
