Movie Analysis: An Analysis Of 'Chef' By Carl Casper

The movie “Chef” had its ups and downs for Chef Carl Casper, the main character or antagonist. In this film there was an internal conflict that Chef Carl Casper had with himself. At the beginning of the film he had a solid job at a very reputable and high class restaurant in Los Angeles for the past ten years. He was in the highest managerial position one can have in this particular kitchen, chef de cuisine. His two friends in the kitchen where Tony and Martin, both right under him as the sous chefs. He also had a minor relationship with one of the head matrices. Of course this angers Carl just like it would to anyone, considering he prepared amazing dishes that the owner would not let him use. Carl then sits down with his son and they create a Twitter account. A tweet then goes out to the critic, using some choice words, and inviting him back to visit the restaurant with some of the food he originally was going to serve. Again, the owner did not approve of this menu and Carl quits his job and storms out of the kitchen, again Carl and the owner should have taken better precautious to insure that his would not happen. Now this can be taken as a discipline method of the owner, giving Carl the ultimatum, of, “you either cook my food or leave my kitchen.” Of course, the critic still shows up to the gets served the same food as before. He post some nasty tweets and Carl shows up and screams at the critic and gets internet famous. Carl, his son, and ex-wife go to Miami, Florida and Carl gets a food truck from his ex-wife’s, ex-husband (confusing, I know). But it is great for Carl and his son. They begin fixing it up, completely cleaning it, buying new appliances and getting a new paint
