I was nervous, scared, happy, excited, etc. My sisters always helped me get ready, so I would look my best. I didn’t arrive to the cheer arena until it was almost my time to perform. When it was time I found my teammates and we went to warmups. Warmups is where you could practice your tumbling, stunts, and jumps. At warmups that’s where your nerves really kick in. My team did well in warmups that day, but it isn’t always like that. All that you could see around you were other cheerleaders from many different teams. All you could think was “wow, we’re all competing for the same thing”. About two minutes before performing my team would pray. After praying it was out time to shine. The only thing I felt while running on stage to my starting position was my heart pumping. I was extremely nervous. There were over 3,000 people watching you. The on-stage lights were beaming on your face. The judges were looking dead at you. Multiple thoughts running through your head saying “don’t mess up. don’t mess up”. The maximum time for a cheerleading routine was three minutes. When I tell you those three minutes go by quick they go by extremely fast. You don’t even realize you and your team executed that routine perfectly. All you hear is the crowd cheering. After I was out of shock, tears began to form in my eyes. I was crying tears of joy. I cry because I am proud of myself, my team, and my supporters. All the adrenaline kept
