Cheerleading has always been one of those sports that comes with a negative connotation. It is notorious for reeling in the most ditzy, most popular, and most obnoxious girls in the entire school building. When I tell people that I am a cheerleader, they automatically assume that I am not quite as intelligent or as school orientated as themselves, but that cannot be further from the truth. For me, cheerleading is one of the most mentally and physically demanding sports out there, and it requires a strong memory to know all 54 cheers by one three word call by heart.
