Cheer Practice Research Paper

This weekend I had cheer practice and non-important subjects but I am only going to conclude cheer practice which I was very anxious about. Me and my team always start out with with ten laps around the gym and then warm up/stretch which to me it is very soothing and which is my favorite part. Then to follow up after that the team warms, we then do running tumbling and standing tumbling which is for example a roundoff back handsprings. I always enjoy warming up tumbling because it makes me feel joyful. Then we do a run through of the transitions and motions, then add tumbling. If we have enough time my coaches will announce“ add the stunts”, which I get really anxious about and jittery. After all we have accomplished the most nerve racking part

Throughout the summer I decided that I wanted to spend most of my time volunteering at youth cheerleading camps. Not only did I get the chance to interact with younger girls and set a good role model, but I also got the chance to work with other girls my age who have talent and loves cheerleading just as much as I do! The two camps I was a part of was the Danny Lansanah Football/Cheerleading Camp and the Packers & Broncos Cheerleading Camp. Both camps were located at John Harris High School for ages 5-14 and were free with food provided. During both camps my job was to focus on the basic skills you need to learn to become a cheerleader and also make up a routine to teach the girls.…

As athletes, I think we all HATE going to practices. They’re exhausting, boring, and we almost feel like we don’t really need to be there; but trust me, we do. I have been cheering since I was 5 years old and now that I have seen where it has got me today, I will never take another practice, competition, or game for granite. We have to work for everything in our lifetime and if we think it’s just going to be handed to us, we’re wrong. Every second we are able to be on that blue mat is worth it.…

One of the most controversial subjects among sports fans is whether cheerleading is a sport or not. Many people say cheerleading is a sport, when others say cheerleading is just an activity. They think cheerleaders do not put in work, and they just stand on the sidelines to look pretty. In reality, cheerleaders have to know what is going on during the game at all times.…
